Introducing our newest Spencil Artist Collaboration: Turtle of Life by Sheyleace Stevens
Since its launch late last year, Australia's kids and parents alike have been captivated by a truly special design - Turtle of Life - born from an extraordinary collaboration with artist, Sheyleace Stevens. At just 13 years old, Sheyleace, a proud Dunghutti woman, infused her artwork with a depth of beauty and meaning that resonates with hearts across the country. Here at Spencil, we're passionate about nurturing young artistic talent, partnering with remarkable kids like Sheyleace to bring their visions to life on our range of products.
Through initiatives like the Spencil Art Prize and charity collaborations, we're dedicated to providing a platform for budding artists to shine. Sheyleace's remarkable journey saw her clinch the prestigious Spencil Art Prize in 2022 for her stunning piece, 'Waterways'.
Sheyleace's journey is as inspiring as her art, rooted in a deep connection to her culture and community. Immerse yourself in Sheyleace's colourful creations, inspired by the breathtaking landscapes, waterways and creatures of Birpai land and the rich heritage of the Dunghutti people. With each brushstroke, she weaves a tapestry of resilience and perseverance, symbolised by the iconic turtle – a reminder to always keep swimming, to keep moving forward.
We couldn't be prouder of this collaboration and the incredible talent behind it. Sheyleace's story is one of inspiration and creativity, and we're delighted to share it with you.
Now, the breathtaking Turtle of Life collection, launched late 2023, has become a much-loved design. From classrooms to homes, our products featuring Sheyleace's artwork are cherished by countless kids across Australia.
Sheyleace brings magic to every stroke of her brush and inspires us all to take a moment to appreciate the power of art in connecting us to our roots and our dreams.
