Marine Rescue
Habitat Big Backpack
The ultimate backpack for big days, big adventures and big hearts. The Habitat Big Kids Backpack is everything a primary or tween explorer needs to take on the day – with thoughtful features, planet-kind materials, and a purpose kids can feel proud to carry.
DESCRIPTION
Made from 43 recycled PET bottles, this roomy, ultra-functional backpack features our exclusive Marine Rescue print showcasing 14 incredible Aussie Marine animals at risk. It’s designed for real life – with drink bottle sleeves, a padded laptop/tablet pocket, internal and external zip compartments (five in total!), and all the extras like a phone-sized side pocket, comfy straps and handy D-loop for keychains or bag tags.
Even better? It’s fully PVC-free, lined with bonded fabric, and features a printed cotton label instead of silicone. Plus, it includes a marine rescue mini booklet – and $1 from every sale goes straight to the Australian Marine Conservation Society to help protect the animals on the bag!
Like all our Spencil products, it's made tough to go the distance for our kids. But, just like our threatened Marine Rescue, this bag needs some special care. Some of our other bags have added ingredients to make them more robust but not as sustainable. Without those ingredients, these bags are not machine washable. To keep it lovely and clean, give it a regular sponge clean with a good session open in a well-aired position or hanging in the sun to make sure it's completely dry before every use.

SHIPPING & RETURNS
Shipping
Orders placed before midday on a business day are usually packed and sent the same day. Everything else is dispatched within two business days.
Free standard shipping on orders over $149. Express is $22.95 flat Australia wide, and express orders placed before 8am are shipped that day. Express isn't available during sale periods.
Once your order leaves us, allow up to 4 business days for delivery depending on where you are. WA, NT and remote areas need a few extra days, and Australia Post currently has an estimated 2 to 3 day delay both to and from WA. You'll get tracking by email the moment it ships.
Sale, holiday and back to school periods are our busiest, so dispatch can take a little longer. We'll always tell you if something is running behind.
We ship to New Zealand, Asia, North America, the UK and Europe via Australia Post International Express, delivered within 4 to 7 business days from dispatch. New Zealand starts at $20 for up to 1kg. Overseas duties and customs charges aren't included.
Returns
Changed your mind? Send it back within 14 days of purchase for a refund, or within 30 days for an exchange. It needs to be unused, in its original packaging with tags, stickers and accessories, still resaleable, and you'll need proof of purchase.
Sale items are final, including anything bought with a discount code or received as a promotional item.
If you ordered with an account, log in, find the order and select Return Item. Otherwise use the form on our Returns and Exchanges page. Our team will confirm your request and send the next steps. Return postage is at your cost, and shipping costs aren't refundable. Returns can't be sent to our warehouse without speaking to us first.
If you received a free gift with your order, it needs to come back too, or its value is deducted from the refund.
If something arrives damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, email hello@spencil.com.au with your order number and a photo. We have a no questions asked policy within 14 days of receipt, and a 1 year manufacturer's warranty beyond that. We'll examine the item and be in touch within 2 business days. This doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Full details are in our Shipping and Delivery and Returns and Exchanges policies.
