We know our Spencil Stars are a talented bunch and we want to see your creative genius…

Here at Spencil, one of our greatest ‘why’s’ is to inspire confidence and joy in kids. We truly support analogue (better known as ‘old school’ ????) creativity and play and this includes the use of pen and paper and a big imagination!

Whether you love writing short stories, poems or even comics- this competition is for you.

HOW TO ENTER

  

  1. Write a short story, poem or comic (500 word limit) and feel free to illustrate it too! The more individuality and flair you want to add to your piece the better so let your imagination run wild!
  2. Fill out the entry form below and upload your entry- make sure they are in the following file formats: PDF, DOC, JPG, TXT

OUR JUDGES

Andy Geppert is an award-winning picture book artist and author from Brisbane. As a one-of-a-kind storyteller Andy takes his readers on a journey to discover some unique and beautiful characters while also discovering themselves. His stories captivate with delicately crafted illustrations which depict themes that are emotionally relevant and profoundly important to his reader’s young lives.

His work has been awarded the prestigious Crichton Award for new illustrators for his work on Little Big Tree. His follow up picture book MEEP was selected as a Notable Book by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
